Did you miss the 2011 Annual IEEE Broadcast Symposium?

Now you have a second chance!

For the first time, the IEEE Broadcast Symposium offered a virtual attendance option in 2011 to extend its reach far beyond its Alexandria, Virginia physical venue. The entire Symposium was streamed live, as well as archived for on-demand viewing after the event. While nothing can take the place of actually being there, the on-demand content lets virtual attendees participate on their own time and at their own pace. It’s not just a webinar – but an engaging and interactive experience that lets participants: view both the presenter and the presentation; access bios and abstracts; download slides, papers, and other handouts from the event; and, network online with the speakers and other attendees.

To see samples of the live sessions, view the "Samples" video on the left.

The virtual venue will provide you with on-demand access to the entire symposium, or to individual tutorials and presentations. This includes:

Half-day tutorials on

  • Connected TV
  • HD Radio

Two dozen technical presentations on

  • Radio Engineering & RF Infrastructure
  • Network Distribution
  • Mobile DTV
  • DTV Implementation
  • The Future of DTV

In addition, keynote speeches* are available on a complimentary basis. These include talks by:

  • John Luff, Media Technology Consultant
  • Peter Doyle, FCC Audio Division Chief
  • Sterling Davis, Cox Engineering VP, Retired

Accessing Paid and Complimentary On-Demand Content
